Laing Pasta with Grilled Prawns

If you think laing (taro leaves cooked in coconut milk) can only be enjoyed with rice, we say try it with noodles!

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients (serves 4):
  • 1 (500-gram) pack linguine pasta, according to package directions
  • 8 prawns, shelled and deveined
  • salt and pepper to season
  • olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 cup cooked laing 
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • grilled white cheese (kesong puti) cubes for garnish


1.  Cook linguine; set aside.

2.  Season prawns with salt and pepper; drizzle with a little olive oil. Grill until they turn pink. Set aside.

3.  In a saucepan, heat cooked laing with cream; season with salt and pepper. Toss or top sauce over cooked linguine. Top with grilled prawns and grilled white cheese (kesong puti) cubes.
